On the heels of the United States women's national soccer team's victory at the World Cup, a recent WalletHub study ranks a Connecticut town as one of the second best places for soccer fans and another city in the state as one of the worst.

Mansfield, not far from UConn in Storrs, ranked second as one of the best cities for soccer fans to be in.  New Haven ranked 169th on the list as one of the four worst cities in the country for soccer fans, according to the study.

WalletHub compared the country's 172 most populated cities that have at least a college soccer team or a professional team, analyzing 18 factors including average Major League Soccer ticket prices, stadium accessibility and the amount of championship wins.

Hamden ranked 86th on the list, Hartford ranked 11th, New Britain ranked 112th and Fairfield ranked 114th.

In a sub-category about cities in the United States with the worst-performing college soccer teams, New Haven ranked 166th.
