Massage Parlor Raid Ends in Prostitution Arrest

State police arrested a woman on prostitution charges after raiding a massage parlor in Salem on Tuesday.

An undercover police officer went to Ginseng Massage and Spa at 26 New London Road around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after the department received several complaints from residents and business owners in the area and determined that prostitution was going on, according to a news release from state police.

An hour later, police served a search warrant on the business and arrested Xiang Hua Jin, 49, of Flushing, New York, and charged her with prostitution and violation of license requirements for massage therapy.

She is due in court in Norwich on Oct. 29.

Police also issued a summons to another woman for practicing massage therapy without a license.

It's not clear if she has an attorney.
