Meriden Police Investigate Shooting Death
Police found the man in a home on Olive Street.

A man was found dead on Olive Street in Meriden.

Meriden police are investigating the shooting death of a man found in a multi-family house on Olive Street.
Police received a report of a gunshot around 1:30 a.m. on Friday and found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police do not know if the shooting is a homicide of if it was self-inflicted.
Detectives remain at the scene as of Friday afternoon and police have not released the man’s name.
