Meryl Streep has an undergraduate degree from Vassar College and a Master's degree from the Yale School of Drama.

Oh Mama Mia! Meryl Streep’s nephew has been sentenced to five years probation and anger management classes for beating another roommate and threatening him with a shotgun last year in Norwalk.

The dispute was over missing possessions, cops said. David Streep, 24, and Garth Hansen, 25, pleaded guilty to felony assault in April, a year after the incident in Norwalk.

A lawyer for Streep, who's the son of Meryl Streep's brother, Dana, of New Canaan, says the nephew and Hansen disputed the allegations, but David Streep took the plea deal because he could have faced substantial jail time if convicted.

They were sentenced on Monday in Norwalk Superior Court and ordered to pay restitution to their former 22-year-old roommate.
