The singer of “When a Man Loves a Woman” will be coming to Hartford this summer, but not to sing.

The multiple Grammy Award winner Michael Bolton will be coming to Connecticut to play in the Celebrity Pro-Am at the Travelers Championship this summer.

Bolton has won two Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Performance in 1990 and 1992. He also won multiple American Music Awards for Favorite Artist and Favorite Album. He has had eight albums on the Top 10 list, with two of his singles going number 1 on the Billboard Charts.

 The New Haven native played in his first Traveler’s Celebrity Pro-Am in 2007.

 The Travelers Championship will start on June 21, and will finish on Sunday June 27. It will be held at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.

 The Celebrity Pro-Am will tee off on Wednesday, June 23 between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
