A Middletown man is dead after a motorcycle crash in West Haven on Saturday afternoon.
Police said Leonard Nelson, 60, of Middletown, sustained critical injuries when his motorcycle and a Honda hatchback collided at Savin Avenue and Atwater Street at 2:06 p.m. and he died of his injuries.
Police said it appears Nelson was going north on Savin Avenue and collided with the Honda, which was going south on Savin Avenue as it was turning left onto Atwater Street.
The driver of the Honda was also transported to an area hospital.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to call 203-937-3925 and ask for the traffic unit.
