Milford Police Arrest Shoplifting Suspects

Milford police arrested two suspects accused of shoplifting over $1200 worth of merchandise from a Target store.

Tyreek Outlar, 20, of Stamford faces charges of larceny, interfering with arrest, breach of peace, and conspiracy to commit larceny. A juvenile suspect was also taken into custody.

Police said on Tuesday they received a complaint of possible shoplifting at the Target located at 1191 Boston Post Road. When officers arrived on scene employees pointed out the suspects, who were loading items into their vehicle.

According to police when the suspects spotted the cruisers they fled back into the store. The juvenile was quickly caught and taken into custody. A K9 team was called in to locate Outlar.

Police said the suspects stole $1,213 worth of items – including high end vacuums, electronics, and other miscellaneous merchandise.

Outlar was released on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on September 27.
