Mom Brought Baby to Drug Deal: Cops

It isn't that hard to find a sitter these days.  But a Waterbury woman must've had a hard time.

Erica Flores, 21, was picked up for bringing her three-year-old son to a drug deal in Torrington Wednesday night, said police.

Flores was arrested in the Burger King parking lot after selling a small amount of crack cocaine to someone who walked up to her car, cops said.  Flores had been the target of police surveillance, according to the Register Citizen of Torrington.

After the drug deal went down, officers pulled up alongside Flores' car as she pulled into Burger King's drive-thru lane.  She and her passenger, Darla Wata, 34, were arrested.  The person who bought the crack was also arrested.

The child was released to a family member.
