A local soldier will return home just in time for the 4th of July.
Sergeant Matthew Prue is flying in to Bradley Airport on Tuesday after a tour in Afghanistan.
The Patriot Guard will then escort him to Moodus, where officials are asking people to line the streets to welcome him home.
The escort will pass between Nathan Hale Plaza and the Town Green, where Prue will be greeted by the Moodus Drum & Fife Core. First Selectman Mark B. Walter will also deliver a proclamation in Prue's honor.
Prue is scheduled to arrive in Moodus sometime between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
