Weeks after state police made one arrest in connection with a home invasion in Mansfield, they have arrested five more people.
According to state police, five masked and armed men went into the Derek Road home on Sept. 4, tied up two victims and robbed them.
Anibal Carrero, 40, of Mansfield, was arrested last month and charged with home invasion, armed robbery, burglary in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree and false statement in the second degree.
On Tuesday, state police said they have also charged Peter Alba, 34, of Wouth Windham Road in Windham; Eric Racine, 35, of Hanks Hill Road in Mansfield; Javier Crespo, 23, of Ash Street in Willimantic; Antony Santiago-Figueroa, 25, of Impala Drive in Willimantic; and a 17-year-old boy.
Alba, Racine, Crespo and Santiago-Figueroa were charged with home invasion/armed robbery, robbery in the first degree, kidnapping in the first degree, burglary in the first degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
Racine was also charged with criminal use of a firearm.
The juvenile was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion/armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit kidnapping in the first degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the sixth degree.
Bond for Alba was set at $1 million. Bond for Racine and Crespo was set at $1.25 million each, bond for Santiago and the juvenile was set at $750,000.
No additional arrests are expected.
