A fire destroyed a home in Avon Sunday morning.

Crews were initially called to 150 Revernolls for a report of a brush fire around 5:30 a.m.

When they arrived, firefighters discovered a home fully engulfed in flames.  The home was set back from the road in a wooded area.

There were no fire hydrants on the street so tanker trucks were used to bring water to the scene.

The home, which was undergoing renovations, is considered a total loss.  There was no one inside at the time of the fire.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
