A 24-year-old Bridgeport mother has been arrested after police found her 5-year-old son alone on a beach.
Police told the Connecticut Post they received a call around 8 p.m. on Sunday that a young boy was wandering Short Beach. The boy was crying and told them his family had left about an hour earlier without him.
Police found the boy's mother and grandparents at their home and they told officer they did not realize the child was missing.
Tianah Brown was charged with risk of injury to a minor. A phone call the Associated Press made to her home on Tuesday went unanswered.
It is not clear if she has an attorney.
