Route 8 has reopened in Torrington after a motorcycle crash shut down the road earlier this evening, according to state police.
Authorities said the motorcycle driver was transported by LifeStar to a Hartford Hospital and is in serious condition.
Route 8 was closed in the area of exits 43 and 44 following the crash.
No additional information was immediately available.
