Motorcyclist Killed in New Britain Crash

Anthony Ferone, 42, of New Britain, was killed in a crash on Route 9 in New Britain this morning.

A 43-year-old motorcyclist from New Britain was killed on Friday morning in a crash on Route 9 in New Britain.

State police said Anthony Ferone, 43,  of New Britain, was killed when a car made contact with the motorcycle Ferone was on in the area of exit 25. Ferone's vehicle then hit two other vehicles, according to police.

Police said there was heavy traffic when a Honda Civic driven by Ryszard Dziegielewski, 53, of Bristol, made contact with the bike, which then made contact with two other vehicles.

Ferone was transported to UConn Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet, according to a news release from state police.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to callTroop H at 860-534-1000.
