Vernon police are warning residents to lock their cars and to avoid leaving valuables in vehicles after multiple car burglaries.
Thieves stole loose change, small electronics, sunglasses and other items from unlocked cars April 14 to 17 on Reed Street, Liberty Street, South Street, Kevin Drive and Fox Hill Drive, police said Friday on Twitter.
The burglaries happened during overnight hours.
Vernon police said to contact the department at 860-872-9126 if you notice anything suspicious.
