A New York man accused of bringing a juvenile to a Milford motel for sex is expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
On Sept. 23, police received a complaint that Donovan Gayle, 44, of Hempstead, New York, brought a juvenile to a motel and allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with the victim, someone police said Gayle was familiar with.
Investigators said they learned that Gayle was a registered sex offender in New York.
On Oct. 10, detectives from the New York City Police Department District Attorney squad apprehended Gayle.
On Thursday, he waived extradition and was brought to Connecticut, where he will be arraigned at Milford Superior Court.
Gayle has been charged with risk of injury, disorderly conduct, sexual assault in the fourth degree.
Bond was set at $150,000.
