Naugatuck Police Investigate Double Shooting

The Naugatuck Police Department is investigating a double shooting that happened around 9 p.m. on Friday night.
 
Naugatuck Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 538 South Main St. When they arrived, police found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.

 
One of the victims, who was shot in the foot, was transported to Waterbury Hospital. The second victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the calf. He refused medical treatment.
 
Witnesses reported seeing a red Honda Accord leaving the scene and identified Francisco Tellado of Waterbury as the shooter.
 
Police made contact with Tellado by phone. Tellado told police of his whereabouts. Waterbury Police then apprehended Tellado.
 
The early stages of the investigation show that the dispute is an isolated family incident. The victims are related to Tellado.
 
Naugatuck Police are continuing to investigate.
