Naugatuck Woman Charged With Sex Assault of Teen

A Naugatuck woman is accused of giving a teenage girl anxiety medication and having the girl perform a sex act on her.

Carah Bosco, 27, turned herself in on a warrant at 6 p.m. on Saturday and was charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to child and reckless endangerment.

Police said the victim is in her early teens. She was an acquaintance of Bosco and the complaint was made on Oct. 8.

Police said they did not have specific information on the drug, but that it was like Xanax, which is prescribed for anxiety and panic disorders.

Bosco was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is due in court on March 6.
