A neighbors' fued rises to a police investigation and charges.

Nicole Healey wasn't so concerned about the dozens of bogus magazine subscriptions, but the postcard that referred to her 2-year-old daughter as "Lil Hitler" prompted her to take action.

Last February, the Woodbury woman filed a complaint with local police about an anonymous postcard she received with the Hitler reference, according to the Waterbury Republican-American. That complaint  touched off a five-month investigation that resulted in the arrest of Healey's former neighbor, Teresa M. Sherbo.

Sherbo was arraigned Monday at Waterbury Superior Court on five counts of second-degree harassment, the Republican-American reports.

Police say Sherbo, 56, who now lives in Providence, R.I., launched  a 16-month nuisance and harassment barrage against Healey and her husband, Tom, the Republican-American reports. They lived next door to Sherbo and her husband on Edge Hill Court in Woodlake.

The Sherbos moved to Providence in March 2008, but it seems that distance didn't end the harassment.
