The city of New Haven is hosting the first of two gun buy-backs Saturday.
Until 3 p.m. Saturday, gun owners can turn in their weapons at the New Haven Police Academy Shooting Range at 710 Sherman Parkway.
If you cannot make it Saturday, there is a second gun buy-back event scheduled for Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Radio Amor at 261 Portsea Street in New Haven.
Yale-New Haven Hospital is sponsoring the event.
