West Haven police have arrested a 23-year-old man wanted for the alleged sexual assault of a child related to him.
Edison Vidrio, of 227 Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven, was arrested in New Haven for first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child.
Investigators learned the assaults took place in West Haven over the course of several years and continued when the family moved to New Haven.
Vidrio was held on $50,000 bond and is due in Milford court Aug. 20.
