Three men are facing charges after breaking into a New London apartment and attacking an acquaintance with baseball bats in retaliation for an arrest made the day before, according to police.
Police said Alexis Yougans, 21, Jacky Dely, 26, and Billy Michel, 21, all of New London, confronted the victim at his apartment at 163 Huntington Street in New London just after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The men are accused of beating the victim with baseball bats and a golf club in the wake of a domestic violence arrest from the day before.
Although authorities have not released any information on the prior incident, police said the attack was a form of retaliation.
All three suspects were charged with home invasion and second-degree assault. They appeared in court Tuesday.
