New London police are investigating what they are calling the untimely death of a swimmer.
New London police and fire responded to reports of a male swimmer in distress near 904 Pequot Ave around 3:34 p.m. Saturday. The man was transported by ambulance to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Police have identified the victim as Donald Bauman, 44, of Quaker Hill.
The New London Police Department is still investigating the case.
