New Milford Man Hit Police Cruiser in Naugatuck: Police

A New Milford man is accused of hitting a police cruiser in Naugatuck and officers said he was under the influence. 

Police said Joshua Thomas, 26, of New Milford, was driving recklessly on Cherry Street in Naugatuck on June 16 and almost hit a police officer who was hitting traffic. Then he hit another officer’s cruiser, police said. 

Thomas was arrested on July 16 and charged with operating under the influence, reckless driving, evading responsibility, failure to obey an officer’s signal, possession or use of drug paraphernalia and second-degree reckless endangerment. 

He is due in Waterbury Superior Court on July 27.
