After finishing up the European leg of her “Monster Ball Tour,” the supreme lady of shock and great music is coming back to North America and she has squeezed Connecticut back into the lineup.
Live Nation released the lineup on Monday for Gaga’s 31-stop tour, which begins on June 28 in Montreal and it says she will play the XL Center in Hartford on Sept. 16. The tour ends on Sept. 19 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that all goes according to plan this time. Gaga has made some ill-fated attempts to rock Connecticut in the past.
First was the “Fame Kills” tour, which Kanye seems to have killed when he hopped up on stage to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.
Then, she was supposed to perform at Mohegan Sun and the Oakdale Theater. She cancelled the Oakdale, then she said last week the Mohegan Sun tour was cancelled.
Tickets are not yet on sale and you will not find the show listed on either the XL center site or Gaga’s own page, but it’s down in black and white on a PDF posted online.
"It's still called Monster Ball, but it's more of a musical and less of a concert,” Lady Gaga said in a February interview with KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest. “It has a New York theme, it's a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we're going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost."
