An officer was involved in a crash on Interstate 95 in East Haven on Friday night.
Police said the East Haven officer was responding to an emergency call when it got into an accident with another car at the intersection of High Street, Laurel Street and the I-95 north on-ramp around 6:37 p.m.
The officer and the driver in the other vehicle were transported to Yale-New Haven for non-life threatening injuries.
State police said the off-ramp near exit 52 southbound is closed and asked drivers in the area to reduce speeds.
Traffic going southbound is expected to back up and drivers should anticipate delays.
No other information was immediately available.
