2 Undercover Officers Involved in Berlin Crash After Police Chase

Two undercover officers were involved in a crash on North Colony Road in Berlin on Monday afternoon after the suspects led police on a chase and struck a flatbed truck, according to police.

Meriden police said the suspects drove off when two undercover narcotics officers tried to stop their car in Berlin.

They led police on to North Colony road, where they crashed into a fatbed. Police said the suspects got out and ran, but left the car in drive, so it rolled back and struck the police cruiser.

Police said the suspects were taken into custody and brought to Mid-State Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt in the crash.

North Colony Road is closed in both directions at the Berlin Turnpike in Berlin while authorities investigate.
