Old Lyme is asking residents to head inside while the town sprays for mosquitoes Tuesday night.
The mosquito spraying will be between 6 to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Innovative Mosquito Management told NBC Connecticut.
Spraying will be happening in the Mile Creek Beach Club and Hawks Nest Beach areas. There will be signs posted on the specifically affected streets.
The spraying is in response to issues reported in those areas. Residents are encouraged to close windows and stay inside. Officials also advise residents to bring in any children or pets toys.

Editor's Note: Old Lyme Emergency Management's Facebook said the spraying will be on Monday but Innovative Mosquito Management told NBC Connecticut they are spraying on Tuesday.
