One Arrested, One At Large in Hartford Heroin Bust

Hartford police have arrested one person after seizing thousands of bags of heroin in a recent drug factory bust and are searching for another party involved.

After executing a search warrant at 185 Barker Street, police seized a loaded firearm, 200 bags of heroin and over $10,000. A related search warrant was executed at 1625 Park Street, where police found two loaded firearms, 28.4 grams of unpackaged heroin, 4,500 bags of heroin, drug packaging materials and evidence consistent with a drug factory, according to police.

Police arrested Jose Felix, 26, of Hartford and charged him with possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell narcotics within 1500 feet of a school, possession with intent to sell narcotics, criminal possession of firearms, and possession of a high capacity magazine. Police say Felix is a convicted felon with 34 previous arrests.

More charges are pending and another person involved is still at large, according to police.
