A 49-year-old man was killed in a mobile home fire in Mystic early Monday morning.

Crews found Ricky Aho unconscious inside a mobile manufactured home on fire on High Street at about 1 a.m. Firefighters pulled him from the home and he was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London and pronounced dead.

The Old Mystic Fire Department Fire Marshal, the State Fire Marshal and the Groton Town Police are investigating the cause and said the fire likely started in the kitchen and does not seem suspicious.

The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.
