East Hartford police and the fire marshal are investigating a fire set in one vehicle in the area of Columbus Circle that spread to two other vehicles.
Someone from a vehicle with multiple people inside set another vehicle on fire that then spread to two others. Two cars and a motorcycle caught fire in the incident. Police are investigating which vehicle was targeted.
Police did pursue a car on Interstate 84, but nothing came of it.
The fire marshal and police are investigating.
