Pedestrian Struck by Car in Danbury, Seriously Injured

A pedestrian is in serious condition after being hit by a car Wednesday evening in Danbury, according to police.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. at the corner of Main and Rose streets, authorities said. The injured pedestrian is being treated at Danbury Hospital.

Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton has advised residents to avoid the area if possible. The intersection of Main Street and Rose Street is closed, according to police.
