A Cheshire man is in critical condition after being struck by a truck Friday morning.
According to police, David Giraldi, 67, was walking across West Main Street (Route 70) near Rumberg Road when he was hit by the truck around 7 a.m..
West Main Street in Cheshire was closed for at least two hours West Main Street between Maple and Williams streets.
Emergency personnel found Giraldi lying in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury where he was listed in critical condition Friday evening.
Cheshire police are continuing their investigation into the accident.
