Woman Struck in Farmington on Route 6

A woman is suffering from serious injuries after begin struck by a vehicle in Farmington.

Police responded to the area of Route 6 between The Hampton Inn and Farmington Valley Equipment for a serious accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

A 51-year-old woman received serious injuries and was transported to Hartford  Hospital for treatment.

Route 6 from Fienemann Road to Pinnacle Road was closed for hours while the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad investigates.
