Baby Boy Found Unresponsive in Plainville Home, in Critical Condition

Authorities are investigating after a 2-month-old baby boy was found unconscious at a Plainville home on Wednesday morning and airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.

Police were called to 167 Stillwell Drive around 9 a.m. Wednesday after the baby was found unresponsive. When medics arrived, he did not have a pulse, but they were able to revive him.

Medical personnel then took the baby to the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. From there, LifeStar airlifted the infant to Connecticut Children's Medical Center, according to police.

The baby is listed in critical condition.

Police have not released any additional information on the circumstances of the baby's injury, but said the case is considered suspicious and State Police Major Crimes Squad is investigating, along with the state's attorney office and Plainville police detectives.
