Plane Crash Survivor Recovering After Surgery

The flight instructor who survived a plane crash in East Hartford last week, continues to recover in the hospital.

Arian Prevalla underwent surgery on Monday, according to Prevalla's attorney.

He was in a twin-engine plane that crashed on Main Street in East Hartford on Oct. 10.

Federal investigators called the crash an "intentional act" and said Prevalla and the other person on the plane, Feras Freitekh, struggled in the cockpit just before the plane went down.

Freitekh died in the crash.

There is no indication the incident was terror-related, according to federal law enforcement officials.
