Two Killed in Taunton Airport Plane Crash

Two people were killed when a small plane crashed at a municipal airport in southeastern Massachusetts on Sunday morning and the National Transportation Safety Board will be moving the plane this morning.

Police Lt. Robert Casey told The Boston Globe that the plane crashed at Taunton Municipal Airport around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

The single-engine plane crashed shortly after takeoff, officials said and the plane caught fire.

WHDH reports that the district attorney’s office tentatively identified both men.

Taunton is about 40 miles south of Boston.
