Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Plainfield

Police are investigating a robbery at the Citizens Bank at 16 Railroad Ave. in Plainfield on Friday morning.

Police said the robber went into the bank at 9:50 a.m. and demanded money.

He did not have any weapons and the man was described as thin, in his early 30s and 6-feet-tall to 6-foot-4. He was wearing a Carhartt type dark colored vest, jacket and matching pants, work boots and a dark navy blue hooded sweatshirt under Carhartt vest.

He entered the back through the back door and went out the same way, police said.

Then, he walked to a small, light colored car with Connecticut plates that was parked in the Village Square Complex parking lot closest to Windsor Avenue.
