Police Investigate Bomb Threat at Southington Starbucks

    Police are investigating a bomb threat called into Starbucks in Southington.

    The Starbucks at 613 Queen Street in Southington was evacuated just before 8 a.m. on Friday, when someone made a call threatening to blow up the coffee shop and the investigation continues.

    Five employees and 20 customers were inside Starbucks when the threat was made, police said.   
    Southington Police Department, the Southington Fire Department and an ambulance responded to the scene and the State Police Bomb Squad was requested.

    Nothing suspicious was found during the search and patrons were allowed back into the building.
