Police Investigate Drive-by Shooting in New Haven

New Haven police are investigating after a man was injured in a drive-by shooting on Townsend Street yesterday.

It happened Dec. 1 around 8:10 p.m. According to police, the victim, Marshant Fuller, told officers he had walked out onto the porch at 23 Townsend Street when he heard gunshots and saw a black four-door car speeding off. He ran back inside, realized he had been shot and called police.

Detectives arrived on scene to investigate. Fuller wasn’t able to provide a description of the shooter but police said the suspect’s car may have been a Honda.

Fuller was taken to Yale-New Haven hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was listed in stable condition.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
