Teacher Resigns Amid Police Investigation

Jessica Motulski faces allegations she had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

A teacher at East Hartford High School under investigation for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student has resigned.

Jessica Motulski was placed on paid administrative leave last week after the allegations came to light, according to East Hartford Superintendent Mark Zito.

Glastonbury police are in the early stages of an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student, Sgt. Rich McKeon said. No charges have been filed.

Police did not name Motulski, but Zito confirmed she was the teacher under investigation and said they received a complaint from her husband last Tuesday.

The alleged incident did not happen at school but rather in Glastonbury, according to East Hartford Police. Motulski lives in Glastonbury.

Motulski handed in her resignation, effective Tuesday, June 5, according to Jeffery Currey, chairman of the East Hartford Board of Education.
