Hartford Police are investigating the first homicide of the year in the capital city after finding a 46-year-old man dead.
Police have identified the man as Michael Leon, of Hartford.
Police responded to the sound of gunshots in front of 692 Garden Street at 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday and found Leon dead in the road. There were signs of head and facial trauma, police said.
The Hartford Police major crimes unit is investigating.
