Police Investigate Ticking at Meriden Bank

Police are investigating a ticking noise at a bank in Meriden.

Police responded to TD Bank on East Main Street in Meriden after employee heard ticking from the area of the safe on Monday morning.

The area around the bank, located at 30 East Main St., was blocked off, but the scene was clear just before 10:30 a.m.

The state police bomb squad was called to respond.

Officials have not released any additional information about what happened.
