Police Make Arrest in First Hartford Homicide of 2015

Police have arrested a suspect in Hartford's first homicide of 2015.

Tevin "Man Man" Jiles, 22, is accused of shooting and killing Michael Leon, 46, in the area of 692 Garden Street the night of Jan. 28. Both men are Hartford residents.

Jiles, a convicted felon with nine previous arrests in Hartford, has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm.

Police said Leon was pronounced dead at the scene suffering from head and facial trauma. It's not clear how the two men knew each other.

Jiles is being held on $1 million bond and is due in court Wednesday.
