West Hartford police are investigating the thefts of wallets and purses from businesses on New Britain Avenue and they have released surveillance photos.
Police said the women in the photo released are suspects in thefts from a nail salon on New Britain Avenue around noon on Feb. 8 and from a restaurant on Shield Street around 12:45 p.m.
A child who appeared to be between 8 and 10 years old was with the women during the thefts, according to police.
The two women are also wanted for questioning in similar cases in South Windsor and Darien.
