Police are searching for the driver who hit a woman as she was walking her dog in New London on Wednesday night.
Police said they responded to Montauk Avenue near Alger Place at 9:41 p.m. after receiving a call about an injured female. Investigators believe that the woman was walking her dog on Montauk Avenue when she might have been hit by some type of vehicle and knocked to the ground.
She was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital to be treated and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
The vehicle police are looking for might be blue and have fresh damage.
