Westport Robbery Suspects to Face Judge

Two men accused of kidnapping and robbing a man as he was getting off a Metro-North train earlier this week will face a judge today.

Peter Ferraro Junior, 24, of 143 East Rocks Road in Norwalk and Andrew Frank Jr., 21, of 99 Highview Avenue #2 in Stamford turned themselves in to police yesterday following a knife-point robbery early Wednesday morning.

Ferraro and Frank were wanted for first-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery and first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery. Ferraro is also charged with credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card and sixth-degree larceny.

According to police, the incident unfolded around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday when the victim mistakenly got off at the East Norwalk station instead of Westport. He walked to the Mobil station at East Avenue and Winfield Street in Norwalk, in search of a ride.

Ferraro and Frank, along with two women, agreed to drive him home for $10, but once the victim was in the car, they demanded more money, credit cards and a debit card PIN number, police said.

The suspects drove through an unfamiliar section of town, pulled over and forced the victim out of the car. Ferraro, the driver, held him at knife point and took his wallet before making the victim get back inside, according to police.

The victim initially refused to give out his PIN number and was struck across the face. Frank and the two women got out, leaving the victim alone with the Ferraro, who was still wielding the knife. The driver threatened to kill the victim if he provided the wrong PIN number, police said.

Police said the man was released somewhere in the area of Wright Street and King's Highway North. The victim described the car as being a dark-colored sedan with a cloth interior.

Police are searching for the suspects and hoping to identify the two women. One female suspect was described as having blond hair pulled into a ponytail. The other had straight dark-blond hair.
