Police Seek Suspects in Plainville Double Stabbing

Plainville police are asking for help to find two cousins suspected of a double stabbing outside a Taco Bell in November. Both are convicted felons and should be considered dangerous, according to police.

Police said there are active arrest warrants charging Ikem Johnson and Ashwan Johnson with first-degree assault and first-degree conspiracy to commit assault in connection with a stabbing in the parking lot of Taco Bell on New Britain Avenue in Plainville at 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 21.

One victim was stabbed twice in the stomach and the other was stabbed once in the side, but they managed to walk to a nearby gas station, police said at the time.

The Johnson cousins have ties to New Britain, Middletown and Hartford, and are known to frequent the Gold Club in Hartford, police said.

Both are aware of the arrest warrants and police urge members of the public not to attempt to approach either of them.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Ashwan Johnson or Ikem Johnson, call the Plainville Police Department at 860-747-1616.
