If you bought a Powerball ticket in Connecticut for last night's drawing, you did not win the jackpot.

However, you might still be a winner.

There is one $2 million winner in the state and there are two $1 million winners. All three matched five numbers, but not the Powerball.

The Powerball numbers drawn for a record $580 million jackpot are 5-16-22-23-29 and the Powerball is 6. Two winning tickets were bought. One was in Arizona and the other was in Missouri.

One person in Connecticut won $40,000 and seven people won $10,000. They all chose four correct numbers and the Powerball.

Four correct numbers, or three correct numbers plus the Powerball, will get you $100, or $200 if you bought a PowerPlay.

Three correct numbers, or two correct numbers and the Powerball, will get you $7; $14 with a PowerPlay.

If you chose the Powerball, or one number plus the Powerball, you won $4, or $12 with a PowerPlay.

Until now, the biggest Powerball prize was $337 million, which actually paid out $224,665,690.17 in cash. The winner of that Aug. 15 jackpot was in Michigan.

The largest lottery jackpot in world history is the $656 million MegaMillions jackpot. Three people won that prize, each took $218.6 million.

The next drawing is on Saturday and the jackpot is $40 million.

Tickets cost $2 each, $3 if you add PowerPlay.
