Connecticut residents will get a chance to weigh in on Monday on how the state responded after Tropical Storm Irene caused damage and massive power outages.

Hearings will be held on Monday morning at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford at 9:30 a.m. and the public comment period will last until noon.

Lawmakers are encouraging people to also use Facebook and Twitter to submit their questions and comments. The public can also send in e-mail.

For those who plan to share their comments in person, lottery numbers will be drawn from 8:30 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. in the first floor Atrium of the LOB.

The list of speakers registered through the lottery system will be posted outside of Room 2C at 9:15 AM according to organizers.

Speakers will be limited to 3 minutes of testimony.
